I can't think back to exactly when I first used the internet...
.... but I think I was in 4th or 5th grade. I had a computer class at school and we used to use Mavis Beacon to learn to type. Close to the end of class, we were allowed to use the messenger on the computer to talk with classmates. It was AIM (AOL Instant Messenger). I then installed it on my home computer and that was when I really started communication with the internet. I started to learn that not only could I send and receive instant messages, but others can do it too.
How the internet evolved throughout my life:
I started to hear in school about this "new thing" on the internet and I eventually followed the pack. Most of the time I use the internet for socializing with friends and family, via social media sites. The first social media site I ever used was MYSPACE! My MySpace name was ErinLovelyy (with 2 Y's) and ever since then the nickname has stuck with me. MySpace taught me how to change layouts of websites, pick my best friends, and upload images online. Next, I got a FACEBOOK account. I still have my Facebook account and the best part about it is staying in touch with friends and family who have moved away. Facebook has not really taught me much, other than you can definitely use it for great things aside from a personal site. It can be used for businesses and organizations to interact with their target audiences. Now I am also on TWITTER and TUMBLR. Twitter is different than Facebook because you are limited to 140 characters for each post. You must know how to be short and sweet, but still be able to get your message out.I am just starting to use these sites, and I think that I have learned that Twitter is great for famous people and larger companies to interact with their fans and their customers. It can be either great for a company or detrimental depending on who is operating the site and how responsible they are. Sometimes people tweet without thinking, and if you are tweeting for a business or organization you must always think before you tweet. Tumblr, on the other hand, is just an online diary. I feel like depending on how you focus your Tumblr it can be boring. All these social networking sites are tools to convey messages all of them have their own design and all different ways to communicate messages, but all in all it is about social interactive via the web.

How the Internet has changed the way I communicate with it, and it with me:
Since I have been using the internet, I feel like I communicate with it mostly by telling everyone how I feel that day. I will comment on blogs, videos, and pictures on these sites and major search engines with my opinions and views on the subject. I feel like the internet communicates with me a lot better than I communicate with it. The internet allows others to send me messages I would never know without it. I do not read the news, unless it is on my MSN homepage, or someone has posted it on Facebook or Twitter. Since technology keeps evolving the internet is communicating messages faster and all of our devices have the internet at our fingertips. I feel this helps everyone stay connected with the world outside our own social circle. In conclusion, from the first moment I started to use the internet to me using the internet right now, I mostly use it to interact with you and all of my friends, family and followers. It allows me to keep in touch with everyone and to stay up with the new sites and technologies that are released everyday.
